Hello I'm Nigel Thomas & welcome to Soul Station Radio.  My passion for this music started in the mid 80s when soul music had really taken off mainstream, being played on commercial radio stations & being a huge success. My influences came from Richard Searling, Mike Shaft & Ray Rose. They 'educated' me into fine music! I started The Surrey Hills Soul Train in February 2018 on Surrey Hills Community Radio in Leatherhead, Surrey and continues with growing listener ship. In March 2020, I launched The Surrey Hills Soul Train onto internet radio in order that I could play more than just my three hours a week and help artists gain more air play & promotion, so here we are, playing the most upfront soul, smooth jazz & gospel as well as keeping up with all the latest chart show that matter from all around the world.

From 1st May 2024, the station is relaunched as Soul Station Radio, bigger & better than ever.
